Want homeschool freedom? Come to Idaho! The only requirement that Idaho has for homeschooling is that you teach your children the same subjects commonly taught in public schools. You do not need to provide a letter of intent to your child’s superintendent, have curriculum approved by a school district, or take standardized tests! You are free to teach your children in the privacy of your home without the many rules and regulations that are placed upon other homeschoolers in other states.
Home Schooling is education directed by the parent/guardian. Since Idaho does not regulate or monitor home school education, it is up to the
parent/guardian to select the curriculum they wish to use. There is no registration or sign up procedure required and the state of Idaho does not have a set curriculum to be followed for home school education.
All costs associated with home schooling are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
